Most commonly asked questions:
- What is the difference between security classes?
The main difference between RC1 and RC3 is the width of the frame, adjustable hinges for RC3 class door, physical entry resistance for RC1 and forced entry resistance using tools such as crowbar, screwdriver etc for RC3. RC1 can only be a single leaf construction, while RC3 can have side or top panels.
- Which security class do I need?
Depends on the area you live in and your personal preference.
- How do I enquire?
You can always send a request through our website main page or email us with some pictures of your door to get the most accurate quotation.
- I want my own design, how should I proceed?
If you can’t find a design you like from our gallery or design catalogue you are welcome to create your own design and our engineers will do their best to make it reality.
- Security glass , what options are available?
We offer clear and sandblasted glass units as well as numbers etched on the glass. The glass can be within the door leaf, transom or side panels.
- How do I know which milling to choose?
There are several most common millings used in UK (such as 5F, 10F, MF etc) we also offer 3d designs and baguettes. Our product is custom made and we are able to replicate any door so there is no limits in terms of millings.
- What are the sound and thermal insulation? Does it help lower energy bills during winter?
RC3 doors might achieve airborne sound insulation up to 45 dB and thermal transmittance (U-value) below 1.5 W/m²K. While these numbers may not ring a bell to you now, rest assured you will definitely feel the difference after an old plastic or wooden door you had before. Thermal insulation helps to keep warmth inside your home and save on energy bills.
